When I am a CEC during the night, I am in charge of helping my
cashiers ring and also helping answer any questions any of my
cashiers have throughout the night.
When customers come up to returns items, I am in charge of hanging
up the clothes and putting them on a rack, so that other customers
can have the chance to purchase it, if they so choose. If they return
an item, I make sure it is not damaged, and I put it in a bin, and
before the end of the night, the clothes rack and the bins with items
in it, get put back on the floor, so that everything is cleared for
the morning crew.
TJ-Maxx first opened on May 22nd of this year. The day we
opened, it was so incredibly busy. We normally have 6
registers total, but we set up an extra one, due to it being
the very first day we were open and everyone was lined up at
the doors waiting for the clock to hit 9:30am. When we opened
up, we all started ringing people's items up constantly all day.
The company TJ-Maxx has a TJ-Maxx rewards credit card, that us
employees are supposed to ask every customer is they would be
intrested in signing up to earn rewards towards their purchases.
The day we opened, my shift ended at 4pm, and I had gotten a
total of 12 people signed up for the card before my shift ended.
A few days after we opened, the store manager, Trista, asked me
if I was interested in becoming a CEC because of how good I was
at getting cards, and becauce of how well I knew the registers.
And here I am til this day.
